whenever i try to play CS i get an error saying

is this because i have directx 10 and not 9?
how do i downgrade to 9 or is there somewasy to fix this

u can run it in 3d at 800x600.i have the same prob the ati vista driver will not support opengl yet,and may not .mine is AMD 3200+ ati x200 vid 1gig + mem

In the release notes, it comes with this:
"Half Life Counterstrike will not completely start in Direct3D mode. To avoid this, contact your video card vendor to obtain the appropriate OpenGL driver and run the game in OpenGL mode. If you have started the game in Direct3D mode and it has stopped responding while displaying the "loading" screen, press the ESC key to return to the game menu."
Maybe if you follow those steps, it'll work :o) Hope this helps!
